In the 1840s, self-taught paleontologist Mary Anning (qiwensili) worked alone in the deserted and remote coastal town of Lyme Regis in the south of England. She became famous for her discovery of fossils, but those days are long gone. Now, in order to make a living and take care of her sick and widowed mother, she can only look for ordinary fossils everywhere and sell them to rich tourists. Roderick Murchison arrives at Lyme during the first part of his European tour. He asks Mary to take care of his young wife Charlotte. Charlotte has just come out of the pain and is recovering. For Mary, everyday life is a struggle on the poverty line, and she can't refuse his request even if she doesn't want to. Her pride and unremitting enthusiasm for work sparked the two women from very different worlds. There are great differences in their social circle and personality, but Mary and Charlotte find that each other can give them a feeling of finding, no need to seek, no longer feel lonely. This passionate, dedicated affair defies all social constraints and inevitably changes the fate of the two
